I have often posted about my weekend stitching but today I am posting about my weekend crafting.....not a sewing machine in sight but instead a bowl of postage stamps, a canvas, a new glass bowl, a brush and a container of Mod Podge. You see I have been collecting stamps since I was young, but in the last 20 odd years I have just popped them, unsoaked, into a plastic bag. A couple of months ago I decided to soak them off the papers and so I could use them in a crafty project.......the idea was that I could use and look at them instead of sticking them in an album to hide away in the cupboard. This weekend was d day............time to bite the bullet and give it a go............the worst thing that could happen is that it doesn't work and I waste some old stamps.
Here is the canvas that I made.
And here is the bowl that I covered with stamps first and then with fabric to cover the wrong side of the stamps.
It's not perfect but I know what I need to do with the next one to improve the finish.
I am really happy with the way they have turned out and I can see some experimenting with other items..........I have started another smaller glass bowl and still have lots of stamps left.
Linda :)

Very nice Linda. I especially love the canvas. Lucky I didn't throw out some old stamps not long ago. Do you mind if I (at some point) copy your idea for some "art work" for home?
