Well we have made it through another year and I know by what is already marked on the calendar that 2013 will be extremely busy. For this first post of the new year I decided to pick out a highlight from each month from 2012.....so here goes....
January is the birthday month in our family for both Emma & Hannah. Hannah celebrated her 21st with a party at her house......a fantastic idea as I didn't have to clean up our place - before or after the event! She did make the comment that the floor in her garage was stickier than the floor at Hush (a night club for non local readers)!
February was our holiday month......long overdue and very much enjoyed. Russell and I spent 10 days in Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand, with a promise not to leave it 7 years until our next holiday!
March was the Shop's 5th birthday........I can't believe how quickly it has gone. It has been a huge learning curve for me and I have met the most fabulous people along the way. I don't always remember your names but I do try don't I Glenice ....I mean Barb!
April was the ground breaking month.......for the extension that is! Yes the new classroom extension on the end of the shop was started by Roberts Builders from Cobden.
May was the month of highlights for me as I joined Gail on a quilting adventure. It was my first trip to the USA. I really enjoyed attending my first Spring Quilt Market - a real eye opener, and meeting Laurie & Polly ; spending the day with three fabulous ladies - Roseann, Kelly Ann and Melissa; eating Kansas City BBQ and so much more!
In June Prudence was a page 10 'girl' with her picture in the Quilters Companion Magazine.
July was grand opening month with the extension completed and ready for use. We christened the new classroom with a birthday get together for my Mum with all of the family in attendence.
August was a decision making month......yes Lenora and I decided to jump in feet first and take our shops to AQC......still pinching ourselves to make sure we didn't just dream about it!
September can be nothing else but 'Stitch in Spring' month......I eat, talk, sleep and live SIS for the whole of September......just ask Russell! It was the second Stitch in Spring and by all accounts another great success.
October was.....mmmmm....a nothing month! I'm sure lots happened but when I looked back on my blogging nothing really stood out.....maybe it was silage month!
November was a month for travelling.......we farwelled Hannah at the airport as she left for her big adventure to South America.......she only has about 10 days and she will be home again.....it has gone very quickly! Lenora and I also travelled but the destination wasn't exotic but was the Australia Quilt Market in Melbourne. Maybe one day we will go a bit further......what do think Lenora?
December was the zero month......the big 5 zero that is. Yes I turned 50......no fanfare.......just glad I have made it half way......lol!
Hope you have enjoyed my snapshot of 2012.....and I hope that 2013 doesn't go quite as quick!
Linda :)
Fantastic year for you and looking forward to another terrific year with you especially AQC and SIS a few classes and lots of visits to your lovely shop

Fond memories of our quilt adventure day in May at Quilt Market! Getting to know you and Gail...not to mention the many laughs...was a real treat! Hope you have a happy and successful 2013!

I like your style of review. Yeah, good luck with 2013 not going as fast. I reckon they just get faster as I get older. They go too fast and the kids aren't little anymore, and I haven't found up how to slow that down!
