I have been working on and off over the past ten days on Gail's new Block of the Month - A Merry Christmas Garden.
I usually opt to do blanket stitch whenever I do applique but this time I have decided to use the Hugs'n'Kisses Applique Paper for my applique...... and I'm really enjoying using it.
I actually think that it is quicker for me than using blanket stitch, and I can see how much I have improved in just a short time. This afternoon I finished Block One and I am eagerly awaiting the instructions for the next block from Gail.....no pressure Gail.....enjoy your Christmas first!
I will be kitting up the BOM with the colours that I have used in my sample. I have used just a few little extra bits from my own stash in my version......and participants can do the same to add their own personal touch. But if you haven't got a stash that's okay because there will be plenty of fabric in the packs!
