Apologies for not blogging for a few days......I have been without WiFi so haven't been able to check emails, fb, blog or skype Russell. I have missed being 'connected' but at the same time enjoyed the lack of pressure it places on me. So what has everyone missed? The first was the 'must do' for everyone visiting the US......the Grand Canyon. Nothing anyone can say can prepare you for the sight of this wonder of the natural world. Hannah and I took a helicopter flight over the canyon
and I must admit that I felt completely overwhelmed as we flew over the edge for the the first time.
In fact I had tears in my eyes.....the feeling was hard to explain. After landing, we were driven in and were able to take some time to walk just a teeny bit along the rim and take some extra photos.
A few selfies of course.......in the past week I have had more selfies taken than in my whole life!
Then I had to do the jump up in the air thing......umm if you can call it a jump!
And wishing we had more time to explore.......will have to go back again one day.
The crowds, the lights. the gambling, the booze, the the the everything! I know that some people love Las Vegas but for me I am glad that we only spent 2 days there. I am glad that we visited.....just so that I can say that I have been......but as I don't drink and only had a little flutter on the pokies, by the end of the stay I was ready to move on. However saying that, the highlight was going to see Human Nature at the Venitian. We got half price tickets and were seated 3 rows from the front. It was a fabulous show and we were singing along to all of the Motown songs.
The hour and a half show flew by.
A long day in the bus today, but we are making our way to Yosemite Park tomorrow which I am really looking forward to. Hopefully we will see a bear!
