After blogging my heart out for the last fortnight I took a couple of days off to concentrate on getting a few things done. I have had a 'monkey on my back' since July when I took on a Treasurer's position for our South Western Victorian Agricultural Societies. It's not a particularly hard job, but with everything that has happened in my life over the past 4 months I kept putting off getting it all sorted. I kept finding other things that I needed to do......always saying that I had plenty of time......until I realised on Saturday that our meeting was on Monday! So I have it all (well almost) sorted out and that monkey is out the door and on his way......thanks goodness.
I have also been working on a few behind the scenes Secret Squirrel kind of stuff.........one involves a book.....another involves next year's Stitch in Spring......and of course I'm stitching a new shop sample as well.........all will be revealed soon. I also had a visit from Rhys on Wednesday......his last visit for the year. I couldn't resist the temptation any longer and have ordered 11 bolts of the beautiful new Outback Wife from Cathi of Gertrude Made.
It is a gorgeous range made from Barkcloth and lends itself beautifully to clothing as well as home furnishings and quilts. I selected a good mix of colours and prints, and it will be arriving in the Shop in January.
