I didn't realise that it has been so long since I posted on my blog. I was going to do a post last week prior to the Southern Right Quilt Show but with all of the packing and last minute kitting I just ran out of time. I took the mobile shop over to Warrnambool and left Russell in charge of the shop at home. I set up my stand on the Friday morning and it was all up and ready just in time for the doors to open at 10am.
It is always difficult to know what to take along, but I managed to display a good selection of things that I have at the shop.......even selling out of some of the panels, kits and patterns on the very first day! I was also lucky enough to be beside my good friend Lenora from Elm Grove Patchwork.......but we were too busy to have the time for a good chat to one another! Sunday was a little quieter so I was able to pull out my suffolk puff quilt and do some more stitching on it.
I have plenty of the puffs made and now I just have to start stitching them together into flowers.
The Quilt Show was also great with about 200 quilts on display. It is often hard to get the time to have a look around the displays, so I went in a bit earlier on the Sunday morning and had a nice stroll around. It was lovely to see such a wide variety of quilts on display and also to see some familiar names on some of the quilts. We certainly have some very talented quilters in the district.
