With AQC fast approaching I am trying to cram 3 months worth of preparation into this final week. It has turned into a bit of a cutting, folding and kitting frenzy but I have decided that what's not done by Monday won't be getting done. I have a few new projects left to kit up and a couple of new ones to make. I should have been doing it all today but instead I decided to get the mess of my book work and accounts all tidied up........the accounts are now paid (and filed away), the BAS & IAS is done and paid......yes I know paying the Tax Office early isn't high on many people's list but I was scared of forgetting it with all of the AQC hype. And while the bed is still covered in paperwork, I must say I am feeling pretty good about it all......and tomorrow I can concentrate fully on fabric instead of finances!
I have even managed to do a little bit of uploading on to my website. I have had 2 beautiful ranges of fabrics arrive recently in the shop.......well I guess they are all beautiful....but I really do love these to bits. The first is called 'Garden Notes' and is by Kathy Schmitz. I have made a table runner using a few of the fabrics
and I have plans for a Journal Cover. There are 29 fabrics in the range and they are all in stock for $25 per metre. I have some fat eighths available and also have Layer Cakes, Jelly Rolls and a few Charm Packs left.....but be quick as they are proving to be very popular.
The other new arrival is 'Circus' by Tilda.
There are 20 beautiful prints in this range and they are all in stock and listed on my website here. I have been busy making up lots of small projects......I started them when I was at Craft Alive in Ballarat and have been finishing them off. The first to be finished was my 'Circus Fun' Table Centre.....another of my pre-cut kits......kits are $25 each.
Next is a smaller version of a cube that the girls made in their Material Girls Club a few weeks ago. I have used hexagons on each of the sides and fusible foam to give it firmness. I am still in the process of kitting this one up, but they will be available at AQC.
My 'Forget me knot' Zippered Pouch started life as bag idea and ended up a pouch.....it's funny how designs evolve. Kits are $20 each.
As with all of my small projects / table runners etc, my kits contain everything that you need to complete your project. There is no chasing around after zippers, hexagons, purse frames, Parlan, backing, lining etc etc....I have it all in the kit ready for when you are ready to make it!
Well I better go and clear the paperwork off the bed, and get some fabric ready to fold in front of the tv. Russell is cooking dinner....homemade pasta and sauce.....so at least I don't have to worry about that!
