New Website

Yes I know that I have been telling you about this for what seems like months........well actually it has been months. I first contacted Christine back in February to enquire about starting up a website. I have seem my business grow over the last few years and wanted to make it easier for all customers (near and further away) to see what I have in stock and also order anything that they want need. As Christine is such a busy and popular lady, my scheduled week was not until the 20th June.......which was Monday. So after weaving her magic on all things technical my website went 'live' last night.......big YAY!

Although I have spent countless hours uploading photos, info, prices etc into the different categories on the website, there is still so much more that I have in stock in the shop. I have put a good range of products......including kits, patterns, sewing notions, fabric and the full range of Cosmo threads.....onto the site and will continue to add new things as they arrive.

Stocktake Sale

Just a quick post to let you all know that my Annual Stocktake Sale will start this Thursday the 23^rd June and go through until Sunday 26^th June. 11am to 4pm every day. There is 20% off all stock including the new ranges just arrived – ‘Grace’ and ‘Essential Flannels’. So if you are free come on in and stock up for those stitching projects on the long cold winter days (and nights) ahead....and I think we are going to get quite a few!

Retail therapy

They say that retail therapy is good for you.........but when I do it it's now only good for me but great for you! Tuesday afternoon Rhys came to visit and showed me all of the new and beautiful fabric due for release in October / November......and with the amount that I ordered I think I am just about entitled to use his house as a time share holiday house........lol!

First on the list of orders was the beautiful new range by Bonnie & Camille called 'Ruby'.  
 
I have order a Fat Quarter bundle for me.........so I can have a play with it before the full range arrives in October. Don't worry because there will be Jelly Rolls, Layer Cakes and Charm Packs arriving in the next couple of weeks so you can have a play too. And just between you and me, Lenora is having a play too and might just be designing some new projects with it......but sshhh it's a secret! I have also ordered the 13 bolts of 'Ruby' Flannel.......it's just so pretty!

You might remember a couple of weeks ago the Essential Flannels arrived. Well I have ordered another 10 bolts to complement the 20 already in the shop....so soon there will be 30 different ones to choose from.

Also on the list are some of the fabrics from the Flower Sugar range.

 
These will work in beautifully with Rosalie's 'Sweet Broderie' range as well as the Lecein Basics that I currently stock......I have only ordered 10 bolts so I am sure I can squeeze them in somewhere! (thanks Lenora for the pic)

I am adding some more of the beautiful Cosmo Seasons (variegated) threads to my ever growing range, plus the usual top ups of Bella Solids and bits and pieces.

Time for a laugh

While trying to find an elusive document on the computer I came across this one......not sure it will help Doreen with 'how to use vlisofix' in her project but it sure made me laugh!

A fire-fighter is working outside the station when he notices a little girl in a little red wagon with little ladders on the sides, a garden hose coiled in the middle, and wearing a fire-fighter's helmet. The wagon is being pulled by her dog and her cat. The fire-fighter takes a closer look. "That sure is a nice fire-truck," the fire fighter says with admiration. Thanks," the girl says. The fire-fighter notices the girl has tied the wagon to her dog's collar and to the cat's testicles. "Little Partner," the fire-fighter says, "I don't want to tell you how to run your rig, but if you were to tie that rope around the cat's collar, I think you could go faster." The little girl replies thoughtfully, " You're probably right, but...then I wouldn't have a siren.

'Grace' Table Centre

As I thought it didn't take me long to 'break' into the beautiful bolts of 'Grace' fabric that have just arrived in the shop. I had a request from Betty for a 'Grace' version of the 'Wild Rose' Table Centre that the girls made in their first Material Girls Club back in April. So while I kitted up one for Betty I thought why not make up a sample as the shop display and some extra kits for the shop / website. So here is my sample

 
These are pre-cut kits which means all of the fabric in the kit is pre-cut and ready to stitch. The borders and binding are cut into strips and just need to be cut to the correct length. Everything is included fabric, Parlan, backing, binding and pattern.......all this for $32. Measures 57cm x 57cm. The kits (plus much more) will be available on my new website at the end of June.

'Grace' has arrived

Yes you heard right. The beautiful new range from 3 Sisters was delivered yesterday and I have done a mighty fine job of 'fabric manipulation' to fit it all into the shop!

 
35 delicious bolts of fabric waiting for that special project.........can't wait to use them......maybe tomorrow?
