It's back to normal here at Cooriemungle.......whatever 'normal' is! AQC finished on Sunday afternoon and by the time I packed up, loaded up, fought my way through football traffic at Etihad Stadium, and stopped in Geelong for a bite to eat, I pulled in to driveway at about 9.30pm. It was certainly good to be home.......no noise, no traffic and my bed! After a couple of slack days the shop is all back together and my mind is now focused on the Werribee Stitch! event on the 20th & 21st May. I will be re-kitting, cutting and folding more fabric as well as designing and making up a couple of new small projects....it's the never ending cycle of a Patchwork Shop owner. I'm also itching to get out into the garden and start my Autumn pruning regime......which was missed last year. The garden is going to look very bare for a while but I am hoping that come Spring the benefits will speak for themselves.
I was lucky enough that Leanne Knell from Petals & Patches let me display her beautiful new quilt 'Pirouette' on my stand at AQC......you probably spied it in the photos of my stand.
Here is a photo that is a little closer up......but also chopped off at the bottom.
Whilst I am sad to say that I had to give the quilt back to Leanne, I am excited to let you know that I have patterns available in the shop (and on-line) now for just $22 each. If the thought of stitching the 1/2" hexagons for the skirt makes you weak at the knees, how about rounding off the shape and using one pretty print instead. 'Pirouette' is made from the new 'Circus' range from Tilda, which is also available in the shop.
Linda :)
