April is always a crazy month here at Gum Valley Patchwork. It's the month when the Australasian Quilt Convention is held which means that hopefully I have done enough pre-aqc prep work to fill the back of the ute with lots of new kits, fabrics, books and general sewing goodness. I packed it all in this afternoon ready for tomorrow morning's departure, and I must admit I squeezed an awful lot of stuff into that canopy.
Lucky for me the door closed and I was able to lock it all in, safe and sound. I now just have to pack my suitcase and get the last 2 'Best Friends Forever' doll stuffed and stitched up and that will be it......yay! This time tomorrow, with a bit of luck, I will be the best part of set up. I plan on having a rest day on Wednesday, with a little shopping and going to see Jersey Boys.
If you are planning on coming along to AQC, make sure that you stop by and say hello. Gail Pan will be on my stand on Thursday 11am - 12noon signing copies of her brand new book - 'Changing Seasons'. I'm stand #46.......same place as last year.......and the year before.....
Don't forget that while I'm away in Melbourne (11th to 14th) the shop will be closed.
Linda :)
