Oh my haven't things changed in the last week. The situation surrounding Covid-19 is changing daily and sometimes even hourly. As we all practice social distancing, self isolating and rigorous cleaning practices, one thing is certain....we will get through this time. While my shop is still open, I have decided to cancel any up coming classes for at least the next month. I have also put in place some new cleaning protocols, so please do not get upset if you see me cleaning the door handles, counter and Eftpos terminal in between customers.
My online shop is still in full swing, and my website provider has been very proactive by including some new options for customers. These now include an in store pick-up and curbside pick-up.
As I have had a number of shows postponed until later in the year (along with my overseas trips), I am taking this time to design and sew lots of new projects. These will be available as they are finished, so keep following along and check them out.
I find my latest quilt finish to be quite timely with the way things are at the moment. I purchased this pattern from the lovely Kori Turner-Goodhart from Olive Grace Studios at the Spring Quilt Market in Kansas City last May.......'Words of Encouragement'
I was waiting on the pretty Painted Meadow fabric range to come in to the shop before making up my sample. I love Cone flowers......even though I can't seem to grow them in my garden! I finally finished stitching the last 2 ladybugs....aren't they the cutest!....on Friday night, and the quilt was finished last night.
I will have a limited number of kits and patterns available. The kit does not include the threads (as there are so many used), but I could put together a thread pack that you could then add your own basic colours to.
Stay safe and well everyone.....and don't forget to laugh, love, smile, grow, believe and sing!
Linda :)
