Two years ago I visited the beautiful Shades of Grey Studio in Castlemaine for the first time, and of course, came home with a car boot full of lovely things for my garden. My prized purchases rattled and banged in the car the whole way home.......my gorgeous birdhouse.....
Lots of flowers.....red ones....
yellow ones.....
and blue ones.
Then in mid April this year.......during the first lockdown......I decided to treat myself to a new sign for my chook pen.
Wanting to add to my collection, I hit the road at about 7.30am on Wednesday morning for a second trip to Castlemaine.
Here are just a few photos that I took of the display......I just love all of this green together.....
pretty blue flowers under the tree canopy,
and the Penthouse of all birdhouses.....
I had already purchased a Garden Tower via Instagram, so I took the ute this time to bring my spoils home in. My Sweet Peas are going to look very pretty on this next year......as opposed to climbing up hedge and along the path, which is what they are doing this year!
I especially love the wren on the top!
Another bunch of flowers......including 2 more yellow daffodil flowers to top up my other display, some flat daisies for "I don't know where yet", and 2 wrens for "just because".
I missed out on a garden arch, but maybe that might make the wish list for next year.....although Russell said that he would be able to make me one......minus all of the "fancy arty shit"......lol!
Instead of coming straight home, I drove across country to stop by for a quick visit to Hannah in Beveridge. It was then home via Melbourne and Geelong.........a long round road trip......but a nice day out.
Linda :)
