Here we are at the start of a new year, Christmas is done and dusted, and it's time to open up the shop again for what we hope will be a better year than the last one. We still seem to be riding the Covid roller coaster, but hopefully in 2021 it will be more like the kiddy friendly one, and not that scare your pants off big dipper one!
While the shop was closed, we managed to sneak away from home and spent some time with Hannah. Our Christmas was just a small gathering, but as Hannah is a true Christmas tragic, it was a lovely day. Part of Hannah's Christmas tradition is to have a yearly photo taken with Santa. Boyfriends, friends whoever is willing to come along, and this year it just happened to be me! I have to admit that the last time (in fact only time) I had my photo taken with Santa was way back in 1992 (at Emma's Kinder Christmas Concert), when little Hannah was too scared of Santa to sit on his knee. So I had to sit on his knee and then Hannah on my knee.
So the appointment was made.........Highpoint Shopping Centre at 4.36pm on Christmas Eve. I thought that it was going to be a nightmare, but it was all very painless!
Santa was very nice, but looked absolutely exhausted. There is no truth to the rumour that Hannah asked Santa for a new pair of jeans and a boyfriend.....bahahaha!
Christmas day was made very special by being able to face time Emma, Ryan and the girls. We got to see them open the Christmas presents that we had posted over to them back in November. They were super excited, which was lovely to see.
So it's now time to open up the shop. Don't forget that we are back to wearing masks inside, hand sanitiser is highly recommended, and there is still social distancing to be practiced when coming in to the shop. I have also registered my shop with a QR code that can be scanned upon entry. Don't worry if you are not QR savvy, as you can also just write your details on the register on the front counter.
I have so so much to show you all.....lots happening, new stock, new projects, new classes, new events......that I will be blogging quite regularly over the coming weeks. I'll be back soon!
Linda :)
