After ten years of running my popular Stitch in Spring event, I thought that everyone had had enough.....but obviously I was wrong! After much thought, I have decided to bring back a Spring event, but have it different to the Stitch in Spring.....which in all honesty was an enormous amount of work for me, and my current workload just won't allow me to run the same event. So let me introduce my new Spring Retreat Weekend......yes 2 full days.....not one like the SIS. I know that I have my March Retreat....and it is super popular....but this one will be slightly different. Check out all of the details below......

2024 Spring Retreat Weekend
Saturday 5th October, 9.30am – 7.30pm &
Sunday 6th October, 9am – 4pm
at the
Community Hub at the Recreation Reserve, Lavers Hill Rd, Simpson, Victoria
Cost : $190 per person
This will be a hand stitching only Retreat.....no sewing machines. That way I can fit more people in and make more people happy!
All food will be provided......this includes a food truck on the Saturday for lunch (with desserts by me); Saturday evening meal of soup, scones and dessert; 2 course lunch on Sunday; and of course homemade biscuits and slices with copious amounts of tea and coffee supplied.
There will be a guest designer on the Saturday, who will be show casing their designs with patterns available to purchase.
You will receive a special ‘Retreat Goody Bag’, name tag, and of course I will have the shop there! Oh and let's not forget the lucky draws and a little bit of Show'n'Tell.
Places are limited.
Not included: Accommodation is not included but there are options in Simpson (B&B’s and the Ball & Chain Hotel Motel), and Port Campbell, Timboon and Cobden are only 15 to 20 minutes away. Sunday breakfast is not included, but there will be biscuits and the urn will be hot.
A deposit of $100 is required by 19th August to secure your place. The balance of $90 is due by 13th September 2024
Cancellation Policy: If you cancel before 1st September, your deposit will be refunded in full (less a $10 admin fee). Cancellation after this date, refund will only be given if your place can be filled by someone else. Full refund if the day is cancelled by the organiser (Gum Valley Patchwork ).
Registrations will open at 9am on Monday 22nd July for anyone wishing to book in....strictly no early registrations accepted. Please ring me on 0427 943 201 and leave a message with your details (and the names of anyone else that you are booking in for - maximum of 8). I will contact you to confirm if you are successful in getting in, and will send you a registration form to complete and return.
